Spring Greetings
Hi fellow tutors. This semester looks like a busy one. I am tutoring both Astronomy and Accounting 211. I thoroughly enjoy helping other students understand the material and I get the benefit of reinforcing these concepts in my own mind which is helping me with the more advanced classes I am taking in accounting. I am going to facilitate an in-service in a few weeks and am looking forward to practicing my "tutoring" skills with my fellow "Becoming a Master Student" Exploration group members, Ginny, Kristy, and Melissa S. See you around! : ^)

Great, Susan A., to see you on the blog! And posting too!
What you say here makes me think of teaching as a way to continue learning. And I'm reminded of an educator whose work is very helpful to me -- Paulo Freire. Here's a summary of his approach:
Freire wants us to think in terms of teacher-student and student-teacher; that is, a teacher who learns and a learner who teaches, as the basic roles of classroom participation.
