Lunchin' with Laptops
Would you like to learn tips about using laptops? Want to blog with company? Laptops are set up for test drives and blogging – no experience necessary! Please join us Wednesdays 1:10 – 2:00 p.m in the group room.
The first Lunchin' with Laptops session happened today! Mary S., Amy, and I worked on some twists with a slow going network.
Some achievements we made:
* creating a Google account and UserID * saving the draft of a post * commenting on an existing post
I was reminded when I've used computers while tutoring or giving a workshop with a slow network. Usually, there are filler activities worth giving a shot in those moments.
Today we talked about:
*composing a comment or post in Microsoft Word, then copying it to the blog's message box
*when composing in the blog's message box, copying the text before submitting it (to be able to paste it again if needed)

Hope to see more people next Wednesday!
